This law talks about the depths of the seas and of the oceans, a depth so vast that no man has ever been capable  of reaching the bottom (oh but who's to know if there is a bottom!). It's a law that ensures the respect and keeping of privaseas, confidentiality, and is under her marine law of SecraSEA. Mami wata values privasea to a point of making it a law to show us that not everything should be known, shared, or spoken about with others, some things are exclusively just for you. In a world of social media and posting, this Law ensures the safety and protection of ones physical and spiritual persona, reminding us that not everything should be on display for everyone to see, least you attract the evil eye! your depths is yours and yours alone and beholds secretes and wisdom in which only your being is capable of swimming through; this is to say, the Wise White serpent is within the depths, keeping it private - she is the boa constrictor snake that is felt in the depths and vortex of the seas pressure, wrapping around and squeezing those who go too deep! - privasea is indeed a protected thing.

This law talks about the transparent nature in which wata is, it touches upon waters clarity and the ability to see straight through, and to see things through. This is a law ensuring the openness and honesty of water in order to bring clarity, and helps us see through the tasks in which we need to accomplish as this law gives us clear directions on our movement or our next move.  Mami wata values transparantsea as she is one of truth and reasoning and such things can only become clear when one is honest and open. This Law ensures that we are not walking in blind faith, and that we see clearly where we have been so that we can see clearly where we are going. The Law of Transparansea also implements the value and good characteristic of honesty and accountability within our everyday movement and spirit.  In its core, this law insures that we are transparent with ourselves in divine order to truly see ourselves - as true power is knowledge on self.

This is one of the biggest and most potent marine laws both within colonial systems and universal systems. Have you ever heard the expression "to be money wise" or "be wise with your money";  wata is the embodiment and archetype of all that wisdom is, and wisdom is simply "knowledge in motion" and surly, nothing moves quite as wise as the wata, for her movement is wisdom. This marine law shows that Mami really makes that money move! So you see, money and wisdom are one in the same because of these things. Watas movement of sea currents is an expression of generating currencsea, this is why cowries shells are our ancestral money exchange! and still to this day within west African and Caribbean traditions cowries shells are used as a powerful technology to bring forth riches and wealth (we use cowries shells within our money, wealth, prosperity, and beauty rituals here at the house of serpents!)  currensea is a law as it's not only something that has been here since human civilisation, but because it is within our rights of sovereignty to be able to generate money for ourselves as a matter of survival - simply put, it is a basic necessity that ensures our survival within this world/system and relates to the universal law of reciprocation. Within the ocean are treasures and riches of the likes of gold, and pearls, and shells that are so rare they are auctioned off at high prices - so no wonder why Mami Wata is called upon when one wants to make some money! This law implements within us how to move in wisdom as the watas curresea moves so that we too can pull money towards us. The law of currensea has its place and essence within river-banks, where these sacred water channels hold the memory of all your past [life] savings, assets, and riches in both spiritual currencsea and currensea exchanges and our physical - its just a mattering of accessing that savings account, huh  *wink *

Lets think about creation and how... well, how it is created. From the conception of a child, to the way in which the sun gives heat to the wata's to  rise, and then rains down in all that wetness as her clouds burst, watering the seeds that have been planted through the act of the soils penetration... oh! lets cool down. Intimesea is a Mami Wata marine law simply because it is one of many laws of creation, and that of releasing/healing too. This law teaches us that its not just the intimate act itself, but what that sexual energy within us can DO! - it is the fundamental life force and creative drive within us and extends beyond sexual pleasure and reproduction as it  represents vitality, passion, and the very energetic flow of our movement/ of action. "Where there is wata, there is life" and it is watas intimaseas/sexseas in which brings forth that life, and her vitality to always keep moving and recycling (the rain system) in order to maintain and sustain life. This law covers a lot, from the physical act of intimasea to how wata channels this drive and potent energy into action and creativity. It implements within us our self governess as we learn how, when, and who to share this life giving force with, and teaches us how to protect ourself against predators and spiritual body snatchers! (think safe sex/protection/ keeping things clean). Of course, this law is here to also show us the pleasures of life! life should be sweet, soft, and simply orgasmic! and when one taps into this law  correctly we gain possession of the power to self creation - through creativity, our passions, and physical conception.

Laws are implemented within us when we need it in order to make a change. While this law does not apply to everyone under mami wata, it is a law the watas will tend to make rise when correctness or healing needs to be had. Celibacy is the act of never having sex, while abstinence is simply taking a lengthy break from sex. 

As a mami wata priestess I underwent a 4 year abstinence not only due to my crowning, but also so healing could be had. Sexual assault is something that has happened to a lot of us - women, men, and children alike, and because of the trauma it has caused on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level, in order for deep healing to be had mami will implement the law of celebasea or abstinence so that healing can take its non-linear course. Within this time of abstinenSEA is a space to go deep within, on a cellular and genetic level, so our wounds and scars can be revealed, tended too in a way that is both wholfully holistic and psychologically sound, mended, and completely healed so that our true essence and personality can shine through and stay intact even, and especially, when triggers are presented to us. Not only is this healing and peace for you, but it also heals and brings peace to our Ancestors who have also gone through such trauma within their lifetime too - this is what it means to heal on a cellular and genetic level.  

What comes to mind when you think of Necromancy? perhaps a dark night in a graveyard waking up the dead? the resurrection of a body from the grave being all zombified? something that brings spookiness to the mind, or an image in which Hollywood has ignorantly installed within you?

We understand that Life and Death are so intimately intertwined that they truly put the romance in necromancy! This is the serpents law of Death, re-birth, and resurrection - the transitioning into one life/state into another, the mummification (preservation) of knowledge [on self] wisdom, and understanding, and the deep understanding that Death work is fertility work;

For it is the dead, rotting leaves that have fallen in grace onto the grounds that fertilise the soils. It is the ashes of the burnt old, dead crops that prepares the soils to birth a new harvest, it is the destroying of old eggs within the womb each month of a woman's period which gives way for the potential of new life. And ultimately, it is our own death in which brings us into transition to higher states of consciousness, realities, and existence.

Something a little bit different from the laws of the SEAS but still just as divine and important within its language and workings is mami wata's Law/governess of the docks and ports of the seas - this is where ships anchor and make their landing.

One way in which mami wata flows her marine laws onto the lands is implemented with her laws of docks and ports - and this law can be implemented when we DOCument and rePORT the current event of the happenings of time and space (of our time and space). This law is a universal law that ensures the recording of history - from the rulings of kings and queens, to the civil matters around the whole world, even the recording of planetary bodies is doc-umented and re-repoted down for both scientific research and knowledge and for our own personal birth charts.

It is written in a way that allows you to think for yourself, while also stimulating the imagination and the reasoning mind. Within the above extract of this mami wata story is a clue into one of watas laws of DOCumentation and rePORTS as another way in which The House Of Serpents implements this law is by writing and preforming petitions to the higher spiritual bodies in order to make a change within ones life.

One of my personal favourite workings/services in which we offer at mami wata creations The House Of Serpents is our Death work petitions. Just like Hatian Vodou, within mami wata house of serpents we also have a Bawon Samdi whom we petition when we want to make changes within the workplace or gain justice and correction from corporations - and why do we work with "Death" for a mattering of Life? well, you see, the word "coorparation" has its root meaning in the word "CORPS" (A dead entity) and one cannot file a complaint against a dead entity if they are to wrong you... well, unless of course one knows how to work and contact the dead! I mentioned this here all to say, the magical workings of the colonial system is within their WRITTEN Laws/language and in order to use our God given and ancestral magic against these laws is to know and understand the language and laws in which you are up against so you know what laws of our own to apply.
